The Truth About the Acai Berry and Weight Loss

If you have not heard there is a new hot superfood on the market called Acai Berry. Acai berry widely used for it's ability to speed up weight loss in almost everyone who tries it. Some incredible stuff we think.

Acai is from the Amazon rain forest but you do not have to go that far to find it. Your local health food store should definitely carry it on the shelves by now.

You can also find Acai in the form of a liquid extract. The benefit of taking Acai in this form is that the nutrients will be super concentrated. Also, if you live in a climate where Acai Berries do not grow, this can be a good way to get it as fresh and concentrated as possible.

Current research indicates no known side effects to taking açaí in any form. Although açaí has been around for ages, it is still quite new to the United States, and no doubt is still being observed by health professionals.

The Acai berry has only been introduced to North America and Europe in the past decade, although it has been used by Amazonian people for centuries. First discovered in Brazil, by two California surfers, the berry has since grown in popularity because of its amazing health benefits. Rich in antioxidants and many essential nutrients, this tiny berry has been touted as the latest miracle food. Among the varied health benefits related to this berry, is the claim that it can assist in weight loss efforts.

One of the reasons that the Acai berry is so nutritious is that it is a great source of essential fatty acids like Omega 3 and Omega 6. Since the human body does not produce its own essential fatty acids, humans must look to food sources to provide these vital fats. Common food sources include fish, nuts, and olive oil. Essential fatty acids help regulate blood pressure, the immune system, and inflammation responses to injury infection. They also help to increase metabolism, which in turn allows a person to consume more calories without gaining weight. Essential fatty acids play an important role in weight loss, making a source like the Acai berry valuable to those looking to increase their metabolism.

Fiber is another component of the Acai berry that assists those trying to lose weight. Fiber helps the digestive track move food through the body. The quicker that food moves through the body, the less likely it is that excess calories will be stored as fat. Fiber also helps satiate hunger, making a person feel full for longer. It cleanses the colon and keeps toxins from building up in the intestines resulting in gas reduction, bloating, and a flatter stomach overall. Fiber plays an important role in weight loss, and since the Acai berry is a great source of fiber, it also provides weight loss assistance.

Amino Acids are the building blocks of protein. Anyone trying to lose weight should also exercise, and amino acids are vital to someone who is constantly singing down his muscles with training trauma. Exercising without rejuvenating one's weary muscles does nothing but weak a person's immune system and overall health. Amino acids must be consumed in order to provide the protein to rebuild muscle during rest periods between exercises. As muscles are built, they assist the body in burning fat and energy more efficiently. Since the Acai berry is a wonderful source of amino acids, many health clubs offer it in the form of a smoothie, for their patrons, in order to help speed up the rejuvenation process after a long workout.

The Acai berry is valuable for weight loss because it provides fatty acids, fiber, and amino acids all in one compact fruit. Eating more healthily is a part of any weight loss regimen, and the addition of Acai berries to a healthy diet can do no harm. The berry is not available in its fresh form due to the rapid deterioration of the fruit once it is picked. Instead, the berry is offered in pills, powders, and frozen pulp. When one's weight loss plateaus, or just needs a jump start, the Acai berry is worth looking into.

Acai Berry – The New Top Superfood

Have you heard of the 10 superfoods? Superfood is a term used to describe foods with high phytonutrient content that provides health benefits. Some of the health benefits associated with acai berry and other superfoods are increased energy, better working digestion, sharpens mental focus and ability, weight loss and enhanced circulation.

A recent study by the University of Florida found that extracts from the Acai berry triggered a self-destruct response in 86% of leukemia cells that were tested. The Acai berry is getting a lot of attention because of the rich amount of antioxidants that they contain.

Antioxidants cancel out the cell damaging effects of free radicals on cell membranes and DNA. It is thought that these free radicals may be the cause of cancer. Free radicals are produced by the human body when it breaks down food or by exposure to environmental toxins such as tobacco and radiation. Research shows that there is a lower risk of heart disease and some neurological disease in people who consume antioxidant-rich foods. It is thought that antioxidants may slow or even prevent cancer, although there has been no success with treating cancer with antioxidants. The Acai berry is rich in antioxidants and therefore it has had a lot of attention from the media for its ability to prevent cancer, heart disease, and even reduce the effects of aging.

While there is no known cure for cancer, antioxidants have long been thought to prevent it. Cancer is sometimes eradicated from the body after lengthy chemotherapy treatments, but finding a less invasive way to beat cancer has always been at the forefront of cancer research. It is known that people who consume antioxidant rich fruits and vegetables have a lower rate of cancer. Antioxidants are known to be beneficial in preventing cancer and in preventing a recurrence of cancer. The study that was done by the University of Florida may hold promise for future treatments.

Heart disease is another killer that is thought to be preceded by the consumption of antioxidants. Although the French culture eats a high-fat diet, they have a low incidence of heart disease. This is thought to be because of the high consumption of red wine. An Acai berry has thirty times more antioxidants than red wine does. Not only does the Acai berry have more antioxidants than any other fruit or vegetable, but it has essential fatty acids which are also known to prevent heart disease. High amounts of Omega 3, Omega 6, and Omega 9 fatty acids help to lower LDL, the bad cholesterol, and maintain HDL, the good cholesterol. There is no question that the Acai Berry is good for the heart.

There has also been a lot of attention given to the anti-aging benefits of antioxidants. Since antioxidants negate the damage done by free radicals that means that cells are not damaged and this slows down the aging process.

The Acai berry has thirty times more antioxidants than red wine, ten times more antioxidants than grapes, five times more than gingko biloba, and two times more than blueberries. It is the most antioxidant rich fruit or vegetable that is known to man. Given the benefits of antioxidants, it is no wonder than this tiny fruit has shot to stardom in one short decade.

If you have been to a health food store lately you have heard some amazing tales about acai berry. It's been all over the news lately and it the # 1 superfood as far as we are concerned. Some of it is certainly hype but acai berry does have some amazing benefits and should be part of any well-balanced diet. We strongly suggest trying it out for a month yourself and see the difference it makes in your life.

How You Can Have a Better Brain in 60 Minutes or Less

It's an easy way to help boost your brain health. Everyone can do it. And it's not just a relaxing way to recharge. Doing it every day has proven it can improve your memory and learning.

Researchers in Germany cave subjects 90 single words to study. They also assigned 120 unrelated word pairs to memorize. So instead of “milk-cow,” they used “milk-taxi.” This helped give more accurate results, since it eliminated familiarity. Each participant then took a memory recall test.

After finishing the test, half of the participants did this relaxing activity for up to 90 minutes. The others watched a movie. After, they performed a second memory recall test. The results? Subjects who did not watch a movie were five times better at remembering the word pairs. That mean their associative memory improved.

It was not that the movie made one group's memory worse. It's that another activity led to a major increase in their cognitive performance. It took even less effort. It's something we all wish we could do more of. So what's the simple activity I'm now talking about?

NAPPING:

The study found taking a quick nap or siesta sparked activity in the hippocampus which is a small region of the brain that plays a big part in strengthening one's memory. Researchers saw an increase in what they call 'sleep spindles'. These bursts of brain activity during sleep help regulate memory consolidation.

Previous research revealed an increase in sleep spindles helped increase emotional memory, meaning they help you remember things you have an emotional tie to. Things like having your first baby, your wedding anniversary or grandchild's birthday / christening.

A nap may not fit in to your current nine to five work schedule. Or you may think you'll feel more tired when you wake up, or that you'll become less productive. But the health benefits of catching up on more sleep far outweigh any cons. According to Dr. Mednick “napping bathes your brain in the neurotransmitter serotonin which creates a positive outlook”. Napping also gives your brain a chance to rest and your body a chance to heal.

Taking a 20 minute afternoon siesta 8 hours after you wake up will boost your stamina more than sleeping an extra 20 minutes in the morning.

Scientists state that a lack of sleep can double your risk of a heart attack and stroke, and that losing sleep can also lower one's testosterone by 15%. However, the good news is that getting more sleep may help prevent you from developing Alzheimer's disease. That's because your brain uses the time you spend sleeping to flush dangerous toxins from your body. This includes the modifying amyloid-beta plaque – peptides that are specifically involved with this disease.

So when the mid-day fatigue sets in -and if your time-frame permits – lie down for a snooze (even on the grass which helps ground you). Experts suggest a short nap of 20-30 minutes a day can help improve mood, performance, and brainpower without feeling groggy. Naps can also be one of the most powerful tools for self-improvement; they can increase not only our health and well-being but our productivity and intelligence as well. It does not interfere with nighttime sleep either.

For those who already sleep well at night, a nap can take the performance of your body and mind to the next level. A NASA study found that a 40 minute nap increases alertness by 100%. Napping also improves your creativity by both loosing up the ideas in your head and fusing disparate insights together.

History is full of famous nappers. Famous thinkers and leaders like Ronald Reagan, Albert Einstein, JFK, Churchill, Napoleon, and Thomas Edison were all ardent nappers and were known to have valued the extra benefits of an afternoon nap.

So have the best day ever and give yourself permission to take that afternoon nap.

Stand Up Straight! 5 Unexpected Ways Posture Affects Our Mood and Health

When your parents said, “Stand up straight!” they were not kidding. I do not know about you, but when I heard that as a child, my eyes would roll. Now that I am a chiropractor, I understand just how important proper posture is, not just from a physical standpoint but also from an health, appearance, and hormonal standpoint. Proper post plays an important role in our health and wellness. Not only does posture affect our joints, but it also affects our mood and how we are perceived by the public. There's more to the story than meets the eye.

1. Proper post sends the message that you are strong and confident.

Have you ever heard of someone who's weak referred to as “spineless” whereas someone proud and confident has a “backbone”? If you want to appear more vital and confident in your workplace, it is important to sit and stand up straight. As it turns out, there is a simple method to both transform people psychologically and signal power to others: altering your body posture. Across species, body posture is a primary representation of power. From fish to reptiles to lower mammals to human's closest evolutionary cousins, non-human primates, power is expressed and inferred through expansive postures, large body size, or even the mere perception of large body size through expansive postures.

2. Improper posture can lead to health problems over time.

A January 2014 article in the Washington Post titled, The Health Hazards of Sitting, reported the following health problems that can occur as a result of prolonged sitting with poor posture; high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, brain fog, neck pain, disc problems, muscle atrophy and internal organ damage and a higher mortality rate. (see image)

3. Good posture can make you feel happier.

In a randomized trial published in the September 2014 of Health Psychology, 74 participants were assigned to have an upright or slouched posture. Researchers found that the upright participants reported feeling more enthusiastic, excited, and strong while the injured participants reported feeling more fearful, hostile, nervous, quiet, still, passive, dull, sleepy, and sluggish, “study authors write. also associated with higher self-esteem, less social fear and fewer negative emotions.

4. Standing and sitting up straight makes you appear thinner.

When you slouch in your chair, your internal organs are squeezed and have now to go but down and out. When we sit up straight and tall, everything is elongated, and you will tend to look slimmer. When we stand as opposed to sit, we burn 20% more calories and strengthen our muscles, boost metabolism and increase bone density.

5. Affects Your Hormones

In a 2012 Ted Talk, Amy Cuddy presented revolutionary research regarding how changing your post actually affect your hormone levels, showing that by simple posture changes, we can make ourselves feel more confident. The Harvard showed that when people who adopted powerful postures (open shoulders and straight spines), they had a 20% increase in testosterone levels and a 25% reduction in cortisol levels-but people who slouched had a 10% reduction in testosterone and a 15 % increase in cortisol. What does that mean to you? The decrease in testosterone and increase in cortisol translates into low self-confidence and high stress.

My advice? Get up and move around! Need help remembering to get up from your computer? Set a timer on your phone or alarm clock for 1 hour. Experiment with your posture and see how it makes you feel differently. The more you are in tune with your own body and how you feel the happier you will be. You will also be healthier in the process!

Is Babor Skinovage Effective in Hiding Premature Aging Signs?

Dr. Michael Babor laid the foundation of Babor back in 1956. The aim was to create professional skincare products that can offer long lasting and almost miraculous effects. Ever since then, the professional staff has continued researching further and evolving the methodologies and the active ingredients.

Babor Skinovage products are a premium skincare range that has been specifically formulated to reduce the premature aging signs. The entire range combines two unique and highly efficient natural ingredients that act as the backbone of the formulas – Alpine stem cells and OsmoTec. While Alpine stem cells create a protective layer to protect the skin from environmental factors, OsmoTec restores the osmotic balance of the skin.

Allured by the lucrative description, I decided to buy Babor Skinovage Products online so I could use and analyze the effects myself. The first product I used was the Babor Skinovage Nanocell Age Protecting Cream. It is a 24 hours active anti-aging formula, which boasts of reducing the fine lines and promotes a youthful skin.

After using the product for a couple of weeks, I did not find any major developments in relation to aging. However, I did find my skin to be much smoother; not only smooth to touch but visibly smoother. It gave a refreshed look to my skin all day long and I was happy with the results.

To enhance the results and to analyze further, I bought a Biogen Cellular Ultimate Repair Cleanser as well. The individual effect of the product was intensive regeneration and repairing of skin. It was able to thoroughly cleanse my face and remove the sebum and impurities that can prove troublesome in the long run. However, I did not feel any unnecessary drying or itching in my skin. With just a single wash, it gave me a soft and moisturized skin. I could feel the smoothness while caring my face.

After using these two Babor Skinovage Products for a month together, I saw major changes in the texture of my skin. An unfamiliar glow had taken over, generating a youthful complexion that was much desired. The fine lines had diminished and other aging signals were reduced as well. Moreover, I did not experience any harmful effect on my skin. Instead, it had improved a lot.

After using for a few months more, I concluded that although the Babor Skinovage Products are a bit expensive, they certainly stand on the promises made in the descriptions. You can expect a healthy and youthful skin within months of regular usage.

How To Benefit From Moderate Sunshine – Vitamin D

Sunshine is the only source of natural energy for every living thing upon this Earth. All life – plant or animal, in the water or on the land, needs the energy of the sun.

Our bodies are a part of life and also need this energy. The sun supplies our bodies with a number of valuable nutritional elements in the form of vitamins. Evidence points out that emotional happiness is linked to sunlight.

Unfortunately, these days people are mis-informed about avoiding the midday sun and that they need to use sunscreens and cover up. This is a recipe for disaster and can give you cancer rather than Vitamin D. Vitamin D is essential for bone health and can protect against colds. “If you're going to get it from the sun, about 20-25 minutes of exposure is helpful”, says Stephen Honig, MD, director of the Osteoporosis Center at the Hospital for Joint Diseases, in New York City.

People who are deprived of sunlight are more depressed than those who do not. It has been proven that the amount of sun you received (through your eyes) determines how well you sleep at night. Those people who have adopted the unnatural lifestyle of staying up all night (and those on computers for hours on end), and sleeping during the day will not sleep as soundly (or benefit from sleep as much) as those who keep a more natural routine .

It may be claimed it's harmful to be outside due to pollution, however, our homes are often less ideal with formaldahyde, etc. than the outdoors. If we are around nature and under the blue sky we can enjoy the rays so long as we do not get sunburn.

By eating a healthy organic diet with 'rocket fuel' smoothies, grounding yourself with shoes off, and having a strong immune system it's definitely you will get cancer as the earmongers would have us believe. It's good to expose your upper body and legs at least several times each week.

Fatty fish can also be a good source of vitamin D. Common options include: sockeye salmon, trout, mackerel, and eel. Buy at your local organic market since some supermarkets have been known to add red dye to their salmon! You also get a bonus with heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids!

Interestingly, the Hunza's, who live to well over 100 years, get daily, moderate amounts of sunshine and yet they do not get the dis-eases of western society.

Have the best day ever.

Four Things To Say Before You Die

Ira Byock is an expert in end-of-life decisions. He specializes in palliative care and is associated with various hospices in the US. Dr Byock and his research team came from people who were in different stages of moving on, that the most important things that mattered to them were expressed in 11 words.

It's hard news that we're all going to die someday – dying is part of life. As Clive James says of death and dying: 'Death is a big, big theme and it's universal. It's going to happen to everyone '. (Of course, the search to find a way to dodge dying goes on. Almost 2000 years ago, Seneca reckoned that we're never so old that we would not choose to live an extra day.)

Almost, however, those exiting this life come to differentiate between what's BIG deal and what's not. Here are the four 'BIG-deal' things Byock and his team found that people in their twilight years wanted to say their loved ones.

  1. Thank you
  2. I love you
  3. Please forgive me
  4. I forgive you

Assuming the researchers got it right, these four things are about relationships, and we know – from the 5F s of living a longer, better life – relate to Friendships . Friends – loved ones from a wide variety of fields – are important in our quest to add years to our life and life to our years. Surely, however, we should not have to wait till we're on our deathbed or hospice care before telling those who matter? The issue, it sees, is timing; in particular, not leaving it till it's too late.

It's never too late to get started. Whom do you have to thank, tell that you love, seek forgiveness from, or forgive? The ball is in your court.

The good news about the friends that really matter is that their love is unconventional: thanking and seeking forgiveness are illegally to matter much. But hearing it straight from the horse's mouth would be 'nice'.

How To Keep Calm And Live Longer

I was driving along knowing my own business when another driver cut straight across in front of me. I responded by calling him all sorts of things, even referring to his parentage. Then the reality stuck me that I was the only person being upset: the cause of my anger was oblivious to my outburst.

Whether it's driving a car, or whatever, it looks that we instinctively react to what we consider to be unfairnesses and opt to go down kicking and screaming. We want to make our feelings clear, to let the angst-causer know that we're not a pushover and that we're prepared to respond.

If you've lived long enough you'll know that unexpected things happen. You may be diagnosed with a disease, blamed for something you did not do, the ref might have made a bad call against your team, an agreement might be broken, or a partner might let you down in some way. We probably know that blowing a fuse is unilaterally to change the situation but that does not seem to stop us.

The question is, what are we going to do about it – and live longer, better?

One answer is to adopt a different approach and respond in a different way to perceived unjustices. The derailment on one path could have been seen as an opportunity to find another.

While this is incredibly difficult work, it looks far better than the alternative. And surely, as we age, we have the wherewithal to show others how it can be done.

Dealing effectively with anger – our own and other's – can be challenging. If you'd like two free article on 'how to handle an angry person' and 'how to use anger constructively', just follow the prompts below and free copies can be with you, pronto.

Use this ongoing challenge as an opportunity to show Einstein got it wrong. He once said that there are only two things in life that are infinite – the Universe, and human stupidity, and he was not sure about the Universe. Do not be stupid. Keep cool!

Sun Protection Never Becomes Old Hat

It is never too late to start protecting your skin from damaging UV sun rays. One third of all skin cancers appear on the face and the largest cause of premature aging is the sun.

Every head needs sun protection so start by choosing a comfortable hat with a brim of at least three inches. This size brim will work well to shade the face, ears, and neck. Rule of thumb: the bigger the brim, the better the protection.

Here are five additional tips to remember when making a selection:

1. Protect the scalp by selecting a hat not a visor that will cover the entire head. The scalp is acceptable to sun damage especially one that is bald or has thinning hair.

2. A hat with a brim that is angled downward will provide even more hours of sun protection. A sun hat with a drape will protect the back of the neck ,. This is an area that receives a lot of sun exposure and unfortunately, is often neglected.

3. Do not rely on a baseball cap to protect against dangerous UV rays. The cap will shade the top of the head and a small portion of the face, but the small brim will leave the neck, ears and most of the face exposed.

4. A hat that is made from tightly woven fabrics such as canvas offers the best protection. In contrast, the holes in a straw hat will allow UV rays to come through and any protection you receive may be minimal.

5. Regarding the color choice, it is wise to go darker. Darker colors tend to offer better protection by absorbing UV rays. Hats that come with a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) tag have been rated and the tag will state the degree of sun protection the hat provides. For example, a hat that has a UPF tag of 50+ offers protection that is considered the ultimate in UV sun protection, allowing only 1 / 50th of the sun's radiation to reach the skin.

Be mindful of the power of the sun. A good habit to get into is to avoid excess sun exposure between the peak hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. And, remember to seek shade whenever possible.

No one product will give you complete protection. For maximum protection, combine a wide-brimmed sun hat with sunscreen and sunglasses. Also, cover up exposed skin by wearing UPF clothing.

A Quick Note on Blue Zones

One of the most interesting occurrences in public health in recent years has been the initiatives related with the Blue Zone projects. The blue zones are pockets of people around the world who live longer and healthier lives than the majority of the rest of the world. In short, these small clusters of people are ten times more likely than an average American to live beyond the age of 100. The 5 internationally recognized blue zones are located in:

  • Ikaria, Greece
  • Loma Linda, California
  • Sardinia, Italy
  • Okinawa, Japan
  • Nicoya, Costa Rica

Researchers then began to investigate what, if any, similarities these populations might have with one another that we could learn from. After investigating, the research teams came up with 9 evidence based similarities that could be applicable for public health in other areas. These findings included:

  • Moving Naturally – finding ways to move and stay active consistently.
  • Purpose – Having a sense of purpose for each and every day.
  • Stress Reduction – Having a consistent, positive, way to reduce stress. (Napping, exercise, friendship, etc.)
  • Eating 80% Rule – Not eating until full (eating only 80% of the way there). Eating their smallest meal in the late afternoon and then not eating for the rest of the day.
  • Plant Focus – Beans of all sorts were the focus of most diets. Meat was ate only once or twice a week. Smaller serving sizes.
  • Wine Consumption – With the exception of the California Blue Zone group, all other groups drink 1-2 glasses of wine per day with friends and / or with food.
  • Sense of Belonging – Attendance in regular faith based services (once a week).
  • Family First – Living nearby or with aging parents, grandparents, and committing to a partner and devoting time to their children.
  • Right Tribe – Virtually all of the longest lived people are part of small social circles that promote health behaviors and lifestyles.

The current estimates are that lifestyle changes in line with those above could affect most people by adding 10-12 years. A variety of US cities have started to look for ways to influence and encourage lifestyle changes in line with the 9 factors above. As nurses, we are also in a unique position to offer advice and interventions in line with the factors above that have been proven to lead to longer and happier lives. Small scale implementation studies have shown remarkable results, and these types of practices may very well be the key to living longer in our fast paced modern world.

What Every Boomer Needs To Know

In case you have not realized it, there are new kids on the block – the Millennials. This group – the 18-34 year olds (senior Gen Ys + junior Xers) – surpass in size all generations, including the so-called Baby Boomers (those of us born between 1946 and 1964). The boomer generation has grown accustomed to the notification that it has been the driving force of the time – the zeitgeist, if you prefer.

One of the largest issue in relation to the Millennials is not who they are, but how they live . We know, for example, that they're slower to get married than we were: you might still have a Millennial living at home. They're less likely to belong to a political party or give two hoots about what some political parties consider to be big deal. They are also more stayut than their predecessors when it comes to changing jobs.

Two important things for an aging society is firstly to acknowledge that Millennials outnumber boomers that affect their 'voice' and being heard. Pretty soon boomers are going to learn that, despite their importance to the economy, there is a larger group which opinions count more significantly. The other is that Millennials are forerunners of our future that includes being connected to a vast network of friends and having instant access to all sorts of information – good and not-so-good. If you 'know' a Millennial, you'll soon realize that that thing in their ear, or what they're using, is a smartphone – an essential part of their wardrobe.

No longer can we conclude that Boomers outnumber all other groups, so their views must dominate. It's the Millennials who really make a difference.

Boomers need to consider three things in relation to these newbies.

  1. Consider the Millennials you know and observe their idiosyncrasies – what makes them tick.
  2. Consider what specifically you can learn from Millennials – especially the ways they exploit available technologies and stay in contact with others.
  3. Consider what you can 'borrow' from Millennials to make your 5F s ( F ood, F itness, F interestships, Future, F inances) even more effective – to help you to add years to your life and life to your years.

Natural Skin Care – Facials for Aging

Natural skin care for aging is the safest, smartest way to ensure that your skin will retain a lasting, youthful appearance. It is also the best way to protect your own health, as natural skin care avoids harsh chemicals and their potentially harmful side effects. For example retinol, which scores a hazardous 8 out of 10 on the Environmental Working Group's (EWG) Skin Deep Cosmetics database, is a naturally occurring form of vitamin A which, in small amounts is safe. But many skin care companies, in order to make their products more effective, use exceedingly high amounts of retinol which, according to EWG “could be associated with toxicity such as effects on reproduction and development. and produce toxic free radicals that can damage DNA and cause gene mutations, a precursor to cancer. lesions. ” Take a look at some of the anti-aging skin care products that you're already using – it would not be surprising to find a great deal of them (even when they say `natural`on the label) that use retinol or one of it's derivatives.

Aging is a process none of us can avoid, if we're lucky. And it's only natural that as you age you become more conscious of your skin. Small wrinkles appear near your eyes, the corners of your mouth, and on your forehead as well. While it's perfectly normal to have these wrinkles, many of us would like to diminish their appearance and try for as long as possible to retain a look of youthful vitality. And this is possible for everyone as long as you approach the challenge in the right way. Seeking help from a qualified facial aesthetician is a good start, and you may also want to seek guidance from someone who practices naturopathy, or someone who is a licensed acupuncturist and traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner. In addition, consultation with a holistic nutritionist can go a long way to help you prolong your aging process.

What can a facial treatment do to prolong the aging process for your skin?

As you age your skin becomes thinner, loses its fat content, and fails to look as plump and smooth as it once did. In addition it takes longer to heal than small abrasions, and you start to see age spots appear. You may even have some potentially troublesome spots removed, just in case.

To stem the flow of the aging process, a facial treatment using natural skin care products can help you maintain some of the moisture and bring back the plumpness to your skin. Natural ingredients such as silk proteins help rejuvenate your skin and restore some of the youthful glow. And cell regeneration can even take place with a skilled aesthetician providing your anti-aging facial, helping to fill in some of the crevices that have appeared as wrinkles.

You do not have to worry about looking older, and you do not have to fight against the appearance of age with chemicals and toxic substances. You can help your skin look younger with a natural approach to skin care, and you can even benefit by living longer to enjoy your beautiful skin.
